As seen below, the original picture (actually a painting), was in very bad condition. The tear across the forehead, the wrinkles, along with years of discoloration, and an extreme amount of dust and dirt, made this challenge fall under the heading of "total restoration".

 

After the restoration process, The Photo Magician added a background that gives the appearance of a three dimensional image. Please observe how the antiquity of the original photograph, (painting), was recreated.

The following is another restoration process from a picture that has major damage which includes missing edges and fading in addition to the fact the picture was torn completely into two pieces.
